DEEP VALLEY MAN KILLED
Lance I. Antill, 32, Hurt Fatally in Michigan Oil Field Mishap
Struck on the head by a heavy clamp while
working on a rotary drilling
machine near Harrison, Mich, Lance I. Antill, 32, well known resident
of Deep Valley, died of a fractured skull Wednesday morning, Feb. 25,
at 5 o'clock in the Mt. Pleasant (Mich.) Hospital, 11 hours after the
accident.
A son of Thurman and Mary Harrington Antill,
of Deep Valley, who
survive, he was born June 18, 1909, and spent most of his life in the
Deep Valley community. He married Frances Wright, who survives
with one daugher, Marlyn, aged five. Mr. Antill had been employed
in the oil and gas fields of western Greene County before going to work
in the Michigan oil fields two years ago for the Pure Oil
Company. Mr. Antill was a member of the Laurel Run Methodist
Church.
