Emma M. Fordyce
A member of Sand Hill Church of Christ Emma M. Fordyce, 85, of New Freeport R.D. 1, died Sunday, October 18, 1998, in Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg. She was born November 22, 1912, in Birchfield, W. Va., a daughter of Asa and Oaty Bell Gump Stout. Mrs. Fordyce was a member of Sand Hill Church of Christ. She was married to Aubrey W. Fordyce, who died April 15, 1978. Surviving are five sons, Donald A. Fordyce of New Freeport; Sherell D. Fordyce, New Freeport, Ervin A. Fordyce, Rootstown, Ohio, John W. Fordyce of Mannington, W. Va., and Thomas L. Fordyce of New Freeport; one sister, Hazel Anderson of New Freeport; one brother, Everett Stout of Minerva, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Deceased are two sisters, Julia Peterson and Ettie Stout; and four brothers, Russell, Thurman, Cephus and Samuel Stout. |
