Hughes, Charles L. (Chick) Aged 73 years, of Dilliner, Pa., died Sunday, September 8, 1974, at the West Virginia University Medical Center, Morgantown. He attended the Faith Church of the Nazarene, Greensboro and was a retired coal miner. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Reed Hughes; four sons: Charles, Chauncy, Irvin and James, all of Dilliner; six daughters: Mrs. Gladys Sanders, of Davistown; Mrs. Mary Ann Burkett, of Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Mildred Vernon, of Euclid, Ohio; Mrs. Lillian Morgan, of Fallon, Nevada; Mrs. Joann Moss of Alaska; Mrs. Sandra Smiley of Dilliner; also forty-one grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; four brothers: Joseph and Ralph, of Fairchance; Irvin of Dilliner; Woodrow of Point Marion. He was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. The family will receive friends in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday until 12 noon and in the Faith Church of the Nazarene, Greensboro, from 1 until 2 p.m. the hour of services, with Rev. Walter Speece [?] officiating. Interment in Wolf's cemetery, Dilliner.

He was born Sept 10, 1902 in Fairchance, Pa. He moved to Greene County after the 1920's. (Dilliner, Pa).
