Asa Stout
Asa Stout, aged 73, well known retired farmer
of Springhill Township, died suddenly of a heart attack Wednesday
morning, Sept. 19, 1934, at 6:30 o'clock at his home near Deep
Valley. Mr. Stout was seated at the breakfast table when he was
stricken and fell out of his chair. He was dead before a
physician could be called. Mr. Stout has been in poor health for
several months.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Oaty Stout, he leaves
eight children:Thurman, Russell, Samuel, Everett, Cephas, Emma, Hazel
and Beulah, all at home. One daughter, Mrs. Etta Anderson, died
last spring.
Funeral services will be held at the Stout residence Saturday
morning at 10 o'clock with further rites in the Mt. Hermon
Church. Ther services will be in charge of Rev. William Casto of
the Garrison M. E. Circuit. Interment will be in the Mt. Hermon
Cemetery.
